Atlantis Part 1

One of the best parts of going to the Bahamas was being able to visit Atlantis on Paradise Island.  It doesn't come cheap ($139 entrance fee), but it was totally worth it!  We had the best day.  To stay overnight there would cost you a pretty penny, but if you could find a good deal we think it'd be totally worth it.  It is an absolutely enormous place with hotels, water slides, pools, beaches, dolphin coves, aquariums, restaurants, shopping etc.  We just went for the day, paid $11 for a medium sized locker and stayed from open to close to get in the full experience.  We brought lots of snacks and just paid for dinner.  Definitely make sure to charge your camera before you come because you'll want to take lots of pictures!

We LOVED the lazy river.  It was the best one I've ever been on by far.  It was long, entertaining and relaxing.

We hit up most of the rides, some even multiple times.
The Leap of Faith is a really fun slide - you go down a 60 foot, nearly vertical drop and slide through a clear tunnel in a tank filled with sharks.  Awesome.
Walking by the Leap of Faith shark tank.

In addition to the Leap of Faith sharks and other small pools of fish and rays, there are tons of huge, beautiful aquariums at the park - definitely save some time to walk around and enjoy all of the sea creatures they have swimming around.

I don't normally take pictures of my feet, but I happened to look down and notice that there the sand had formed an outline of a heart on my big toe so I just had to document it since I love hearts.
We didn't pay for one of the dolphin adventures, but instead just sat on the beach and watched as other people who paid interacted and played with the dolphins.  Honestly, we felt like this was the way to go - see the same tricks, but for free.  The only difference is that we didn't have to put on a wet suit and we didn't get to touch them.

Another great part about Atlantis is the beautiful beaches they have on the island.
We loved walking along the white sandy beaches and getting in the gorgeous aqua-colored water.
Happy sea turtle sand sculpture :)
We had so much fun in the ocean.  We lucked out by finding some nice guy who offered to take lots of pictures for us.
So glad I had my waterproof case with me!  Everyone who saw me with my phone in the ocean panicked and said, "Oh no, is you're phone going to get wet?" It was kind of cute how concerned random strangers were about it.
We were in heaven...beach, sun, water, friends....that's all you need.
We also had a spontaneous photo shoot of course.
